Green Edge-Cloud Technology –
Fully Integrated Into Building Technology
The BiGreen Project, by Lindner SE, is working on highly innovative, modular edge-cloud computing systems that can be seamlessly integrated into the building services of new constructions and existing buildings. The heat emitted during the use is directly utilised on-site for heating the building, hot water preparation or process heat. The energy is intended to come primarily from local, renewable energy sources. The “swarm” of distributed edge-cloud-systems is intelligently controlled to optimise the balance between the renewable energy, the utilisation of the resulting waste heat and the available computing power. In addition, a completely new, multidimensional security and access concept – known as multi-layer-confidential-computing – protects the systems.
Contribution to the multi-provider-cloud-edge-continuum
An intelligent, self-regulating “swarm” that securely, quickly and highly reliably manages information. This is an indispensable prerequisite for the successful implementation of a horizontally as well as vertically scalable multi-provider-cloud-edge-continuum.
USP
Locally generated renewable energy is directly refined at the place of generation into valuable data and thermal energy that can be used for a variety of purposes – done largely without transformation losses and without tapping into the public power grid.
Use Cases
Real estate owners who are interested in “green” and cost saving heating energy and process heat, such as hotels, nursing homes, large rental properties etc., as well as clients who would like to continue operating their systems on premise, while significantly reducing their energy costs as well as their ESG score through optimal waste heat utilisation.
